When you make an enquiry or book a tour with us, we will collect certain information from you in order to get you registered for your chosen experience. In order to comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) of the European Union and to be transparent with our guests, we want to clarify the kind of data we may collect from you. Depending on your interaction with us and what products and services you choose, we typically collect the following personal information:
- Traveller’s name and surname
- Email address
- Phone number
- Dates when you expect to be in Prague
- Hotel (pickup) details
- Food allergies or restrictions
We might use this information to identify and to contact you. The name, surname, email address and dates when you expect to be in Prague will also be used to answer your requests, to tell you about changes regarding your tour, and to contact you with a follow-up information after your tour is over.
We also process and store records of the products and services you have enquired about or purchased from us, as well as any information relevant to your booking (such as flights and accommodation details) that you have not booked through us, where this information has been passed to us by our partners and/or third parties.
We will retain and use your personal data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.
You can, at any time, ask us to modify, delete or access your data we store in our system by sending us an email to [email protected].
When booking a tour via our website, to make a payment with credit card, you will use a secure online booking engine (FareHarbor). We may retain your credit card information in order to book another product with us. However, we will never use this information to book any product for you, unless we have a written consent from you to do so.
When booking a tour with any of our affiliates (such as Viator or Airbnb), you will make a payment via their online booking engine and we will not have access to your payment information. In case of any issue, please refer to their own financial policy and customer support.
Terms of Service
Your responsibility – The traveller making the booking is responsible for their own and their group’s actions. If the guide finds you or your group’s actions to cause danger to other travellers or our staff, to intervene with other clients’ enjoyment of the trip, or to be offensive to the local communities and cultures, we reserve the right to remove you from the tour immediately. No refund will be provided. You must at all times comply with the laws, customs, foreign exchange, and drug regulations of our country, and you also agree to travel in accordance with our responsible travel guidelines.
Acceptance of risk – You acknowledge that your tour may involve a degree of personal risk. It is your responsibility to acquaint yourself with all possible relevant travel information. You acknowledge that your decision to travel is made with full consideration of this information and you accept that you are aware of the personal risks presented in such travel.
Age requirements – All travellers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a legal guardian who will be responsible for them. While many of our tours permit all ages, the minimum age requirements may vary with tours. Please see the tour description on our website to check whether a tour is child-friendly. For tours focused on alcohol, we generally accept adults 18+.
Health requirements – Though most of our tours require a low level of physical effort, there is always at least some walking involved. It is your responsibility to ensure that you and everyone in your group is physically fit to participate. The tour guide has the right to reject a guest if we decide it is not safe for the guest, or others. In such cases, we do not offer a refund.
We ask details about dietary restrictions before every tour focused on food. Please, provide us with that information, as well as the information about any medical condition or medication being taken, before the beginning of the tour.
Insurance – It is a requirement that all travellers in the European Union have a valid and comprehensive travel insurance. We cannot be held responsible for any liability, expenses, or losses you incur as a result of being inadequately insured. We strongly recommend that you purchase a comprehensive travel insurance at the time of booking of your trip.
Liability – Prague City Adventures is not liable for injury, damage, loss, accident, delay, or irregularity, liability, or expense to person or property. We accept no responsibility for any sickness, acts of crime, labour disputes, government actions, acts of war and/or terrorism, weather conditions, defect in any vehicle of transportation, or for any misadventure or casualty or any other causes beyond our control. We maintain information that is accurate to the best of our knowledge; however, we do not warrant that content and information provided on our website or via any of our affiliate sites or via distributors will be without error and that functionality of the websites is uninterrupted or without error. We will not accept responsibility or liability for any traveller who contravenes any law or regulation of our country.
Complaints – If you don’t enjoy any particular aspect of your tour, we urge you to discuss this at the time of the tour with your guide. There’s always room for improvement and special attention on our tours. If you wish to complain further, please contact us directly at [email protected] We answer all complaints in a timely fashion.
Pricing & Payments
The value of your transaction may be subject to taxes, duties, foreign transaction, currency exchange or other fees. Your bank or credit or debit card company may convert the payment into the local currency and charge fees, resulting in differences between the amount displayed on praguecityadventures.com, and the final amount charged to your bank account or credit or debit card statement. Please contact your bank or card company if you have any questions concerning any applicable conversion or fees.
Payment due – With the exception of Private Tours, we require full payment at the time of booking. Payment for private tours is due upon confirmation of your tour itinerary.
Price changes – The prices appearing on our website are the current rates and can change without notice. Once you book our tour, you will not be required to pay any difference in the event of a price increase. Similarly, we will not refund the balance of any price reduction.
Child rate – Our “child” and “small child” rates apply at the time of the tour, not the time of booking. We might ask you for a proof of age in case there is a strong suspicion that your child does not fall into the alleged age group. Should that suspicion prove to be justified, we will kindly ask you to pay the difference between the adult and child rate for the specific tour before we start.
Inclusions – Prices include all the inclusions mentioned in the tour description on this website
Exclusions – Prices do not include:
1. Tips and gratuities – If you are happy with the services provided by your local guides and drivers, a tip – though not compulsory – is highly appreciated. While it may not be customary to you, it is of great significance to the people who will take care of you during your travels, inspires excellent service, and is an entrenched feature of the tourism industry across Europe. Please consider this when budgeting for your extra expenses on your tour.
2. Items of a personal nature – These may include snacks, meals, and drinks not outlined as an inclusion in the tour description.
3. Baggage and personal insurance – It is highly recommended that you and each member of your group obtain adequate insurance for your travels.
4. Local taxes and fees – Unless mentioned in the tour inclusions, the price does not include any local taxes or fees, including foreign departure, security, port charges, park fees, customs, immigration, agricultural, passenger-facility charges, or international transportation tax.
5. Pre-tour pickup – We offer a free of charge pickup for Private Tours only. If you book a Small Group Tour and wish to be picked up before the start of the tour, we can do that for you according to the following pricing:
- 1 – 3 people: 20 EUR
- 4 – 7 people: 30 EUR
- 8 – 19 people: 40 EUR
Rescheduling & Cancellation
Our tours run rain or shine (so please dress accordingly). We only cancel tours in the event of unsafe weather conditions (which has happened once ever since we launched this company in 2021). Should it occur again, you will of course receive a full refund. Please note that we reserve the right to change the tour route in case of unexpected circumstances.
Small Group Tour
If you wish to cancel your tour, you will receive a full refund (minus the 6% booking fee which is non-refundable) with more than 24 hours notice of cancellation. Cancellations within 24 hours of the tour start time (Prague local time) will be charged full price.
If you wish to reschedule the tour within 24 hours of the scheduled departure (Prague local time), please contact us at [email protected] to check our availability. Should we have places available, you’ll be charged a rescheduling fee of 25 EUR/person. Please note that Prague City Adventures does not guarantee rescheduling of any tour less than 24 hours before the scheduled departure time. No refund is provided for any unused portion of a tour.
If you wish to cancel your private tour…
– more than 21 days in advance, you will receive a refund of 100% (the 6% booking fee which is non-refundable).
– between 4 and 20 days in advance, you will receive a 50% refund (minus the 6% booking fee which is non-refundable).
– less than 72 hours before the tour starting time (Prague local time), there’s no refund.
If you wish to reschedule the tour within 24 hours of the scheduled departure (Prague local time), please contact us at [email protected] to check our availability. Should we have a guide available, you’ll be charged a rescheduling fee of 25 EUR/person. Please note that Prague City Adventures does not guarantee rescheduling of any tour less than 24 hours before the scheduled departure time. No refund is provided for any unused portion of a tour.
If you wish to cancel your virtual tour…
– more than 14 days in advance, you will receive a refund of 100% (minus the 6% booking fee which is non-refundable).
– between 4 and 13 days in advance, you will receive a 50% refund (minus the 6% booking fee which is non-refundable).
– less than 72 hours before the tour starting time (Prague local time), there’s no refund.
If you wish to reschedule your virtual tour within 72 hours of the scheduled starting time (Prague local time), please contact us at [email protected] to check our availability. You’ll be charged a rescheduling fee of 30 EUR. Please note that we do not guarantee rescheduling of any tour less than 72 hours before the scheduled starting time. No refund is provided for any unused portion of a tour.
We reserve the right to reschedule any virtual tour in the event of unsafe weather conditions. You’d be notified of the change as ahead of the time as possible and we’ll work with you to find the best time to reschedule the tour to.
Late guest disclaimer
Joining any of our tours later is not be possible and we do not offer any refund options. If you miss the beginning of the tour, please contact us by phone +420 608 107 108 to see if there is a chance of tour rescheduling for another day for 25 EUR/person fee. We do not guarantee, though, that there will be a slot available.
