Your shopping experience begins in Lesser Town with a visit to one of the city’s most famous shops, which offers stunning bohemian products that are closely connected to the old Slavic traditions. Here, you find everything from hand-painted Easter eggs and Christmas decorations, to wooden toys and ceramics. Your guide points out the most traditional items, explains their story to you, and helps with suggestions in case you would like to buy something.

Next, our shopping adventure takes us off the beaten path to the beautiful courtyard of a catholic church, where we take a peek into a small glass shop, hidden in the basement. They specialise in glass jewellery and handmade glass beads. The staff are super friendly and are always happy to answer any questions you may have about their craft.

On our way to the next shop, we pass by the colourful and well-known Lennon Wall, crossing over the romantic Lovers’ Bridge, until we reach Prague’s iconic Charles Bridge. Local artists use this space to sell their treasures and they also have their own shop just under the bridge. We pop down to take a look at their latest creations and maybe chat to a few artists who are more than pleased to show you their best works, from pottery products and paintings to marionettes and much more!

Before we leave Lesser Town behind, we will take a stroll through one of our favourite city gardens (there are many throughout the city, all charming in their own way) and then hop on the metro, which takes us to the centre of the New Town, Wenceslas Square. Amongst the sea of shops on the square, your guide leads you to a hidden arcade in a historic palace, full of interesting boutiques and cafés.

Our final stop is a popular liqueur store, where you learn about local wines and beers and have an opportunity to pick up some of the country’s best liquid offerings. Our tour ends with a glass of wine or a beer either at the store or at a cosy café next door, depending on your preference.

Additional Information: The local currency is the Czech koruna. Euro is accepted but not everywhere.

Closure of sites: In the case of the usual shops being closed, we’ll take you to some equally interesting stores.
